ABOUT E-PUBLISHING...
.E-publishing--electronic publishing--is a child of the technological revolution of the past twenty years.

Books, both fiction and non-fiction, are being published on the Internet for use specifically on computers (home, laptops, or PDAs), or dedicated ebook readers.  This means they are not  published in print at all.  They are available electronically--that is they are downloaded from the publisher's site to your computer.  Once the book is saved to your computer, you may do with it what you wish--save it to a disk, transfer it to an e-book reader, or even print it out.

The e-publishing process is nearly identical to the print publishing process.  The author queries the publisher, the publisher invites submission, the publisher accepts or rejects the submission. Contracts are exchanged. Then the submission is slotted into the publishing schedule, is edited, has jacket information, and cover art prepared, and finally is offered for sale--but on the Internet as opposed to your local bookstore.
