'TOP TEN' REGENCY NOVELS
These titles are my very personal choices for top ten Regencies. They are books I return to again and again just to visit with the characters and delight in their wonderful stories.

In no particular order:

1. Deirdre and Don Juan by Jo Beverley
Published in 1993 by Avon Books

2. A Gypsy at Almack's by Chloe Cheshire
Published in 1993 by Harper Paperbacks

3. Love's Duet by Patricia Veryan
Published in 1979 by Fawcett Crest

4. Miss Whittier Makes a List by Carla Kelly
Published in 1994 by Signet Books

5. Frederica by Georgette Heyer
Published by Pan Books in 1968; many reissues

6. Persuasion by Jane Austen
first published 1817; many editions available

7. The Rogue's Lady by Marian Devon
    Published by Fawcett; 1982

8.  Miss Dower's Paragon by Gayle Buck
    Published by Signet; 1993

9.  The Runaways by Barbara Hazard
     Published by Signet; 1997

10. Lady Elizabeth's Comet by Sheila Simonson
      Published by Walker; 1985
There is a possibility for change here as I read and re-read and have my memory refreshed. There should be something by Clare Darcy on the list, but I've needed to re-read her work for years. Also, I have limited myself to one title per author. In the case of some writers such as Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer and Carla Kelly that was almost impossible.
